Why this site exists
Search for a Batanes tour and what comes back is mostly Manila agencies selling airfare-and-hotel bundles by Viber and Facebook Messenger, quoting a peso figure with no breakdown. Almost none of them mention that since 15 June 2026 every visitor has to pre-register online and pay PHP 405 before flying in, or that Ivana added a PHP 100 fee of its own in January 2026, or that the Sabtang boat sails once a morning and not at all when the channel is up.
None of that is hidden. It is in Executive Order No. 23, Series of 2026, in the operators' own small print and in the reviews travellers leave afterwards. Putting it next to the price is the whole job of this site.
Where the facts come from
Tour prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, age limits and cancellation terms are read off each operator's own listing on the date shown on the page, in US dollars. Provincial fees, the registration process and the seasonal picture are checked against official information published by the Provincial Government of Batanes and reported by Philippine news outlets, and dated where they appear. Where a listing admits something inconvenient in its own words — a shared transfer described inside a private-group product, a pickup time that only gets confirmed by WhatsApp, an operator that reviewers could not reach by phone — we quote it rather than smooth it over. Review quotes carry the reviewer's name, party size and travel month exactly as published. We do not write testimonials.
What we do not do
We do not inspect the tours, ride the faluwa, meet the guides or audit safety records. Judging whether the Ivana channel is safe to cross on a given morning takes someone standing at the port, and that is a job for the boat crew and the operator you book with.
We also do not take your booking. Every Check Availability button sends you to Klook or GetYourGuide, where the operator's own terms apply. They hold your money, they set the cancellation window, and they are who you deal with if a boat is cancelled or a flight is grounded.
How the site earns
